Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective 24 September 2026
1. General rule
Except where applicable law, Paddle's mandatory buyer protections, or this policy requires otherwise, payments for NightTales Creator and other immediately supplied digital access are non-refundable once access has been supplied.
2. Consumer withdrawal rights
If you are a consumer, mandatory law may give you a right to withdraw from a distance contract within a specified period. For digital content or digital services supplied immediately, the law may allow performance to begin during that period after you expressly request immediate performance and, where required, acknowledge the effect this has on your withdrawal right.
Checkout information and any consent requested by the Merchant of Record form part of the purchase process. Nothing in this policy removes a statutory right that cannot legally be waived.
3. Service failures
If a material technical problem prevents you from receiving paid access, contact us with enough information to investigate. We will first try to restore the feature or correct the entitlement. Where restoration is not possible within a reasonable time, or where applicable law requires another remedy, we may provide replacement access, an appropriate price adjustment, or a refund.
4. Subscription cancellation
You may cancel a recurring subscription so it does not renew. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, cancellation takes effect for future renewal and does not create a refund for time already used or for an unused portion of the current billing period.
5. Refunds, chargebacks, and access
An approved full refund or successful chargeback revokes the paid entitlement associated with that transaction. This prevents refunded access from continuing as if the purchase remained paid.
Accounts with a prior full refund, chargeback, or payment dispute may be placed into manual billing review before a future paid entitlement is activated. This safeguard is intended to prevent repeated refund-and-repurchase abuse and does not prevent a customer from exercising mandatory consumer rights.
6. Fraud and abuse
We may reject discretionary refund requests where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, repeated abuse, manipulation of paid access, or other misuse, subject always to mandatory law and the Merchant of Record's applicable buyer terms.
7. Merchant of Record
Paddle processes supported paid transactions as Merchant of Record. Paddle may handle payment collection, applicable taxes, invoices, subscription administration, and refund processing. Paddle's buyer terms and legally required refund procedures apply to transactions it processes.
8. Requesting help
For a billing or technical-access problem, contact us using the details on the Contact page. Include the email associated with the purchase and enough information to identify the transaction, but never send full payment-card details.
